Thomas Tuchel wants to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer and is willing to swap out-of-favour Timo Werner for him.
According to Sport.es the Chelsea boss has asked Roman Abramovich to use the forward as part of a deal for the Dortmund striker, as he looks to turn around the club’s fortunes by undoing some of the wrongs Frank Lampard made while in charge.
Werner’s move from RB Leipzig appeared to be a scoop last summer, with Chelsea activating his £47.5m release clause to beat Liverpool to his signature.
But the 25-year-old German forward has failed to light up the Premier League, scoring only five times in 28 appearances for the Blues.
Maybe Haaland will fare better…
