After missing out on signing Philippe Coutinho in the summer transfer window, Barcelona are now setting their sights on Liverpool teammate, Sadio Mané.
The Daily Mirror claims that the Spanish giants also have competition for the Senegalese winger, with Real Madrid and Juventus also circling.
The paper suggests that it will be a blow for Coutinho, who was determined to get his dream move to the Nou Camp, but it could be even worse for the Reds if both players make the switch at the end of the season.
Liverpool were able to deny the Brazilian playmaker a move as there was no release clause in his recently-signed contract, but we don’t know if the club have that luxury with Mané. Let’s hope they do, else it will be a blow for Jurgen Klopp as he becomes under increasing pressure to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title and do well in the Champions League.
