Roy Hodgson is set to be named as the new manager of Crystal Palace, after the departure of Frank de Boer.
The Dutchman lasted only 77 days and five games at Selhurst Park, with the Eagles left hovering over West Ham at the foot of the Premier League table.
A statement on the club website reads: “Crystal Palace Football Club have this morning parted company with Frank de Boer. We would like to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the club. A new manager will be appointed in due course and we wish Frank the very best of luck for the future.”
It is believed that Palace wanted Sam Allardyce to return but, failing that, turned to Hodgson in the hope he can get their season kickstarted.
