The transfer window may have closed, but that doesn’t stop the tittle tattle.
Naby Kieta has already agreed a transfer to Liverpool next summer when his £48m transfer release clause kicks in, but the latest rumour doing the rounds, mostly led by ‘Bundesliga expert’ Lee Price, is that he may move to Anfield earlier than expected.
The talk is that if Liverpool are in the last 16 of the Champions League and RB Leipzig have already been knocked out in the group stages, an additional fee may be enough to lure the Guinean midfielder away from the Bundesliga club early.
It’s a highly unlikely move but one which, if it comes off, will give Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp the additional strength he’s going to need if Liverpool are to make a serious challenge for either Champions League or Premier League this season.
