Neymar on verge of PSG move

Neymar is set to become the most expensive footballer ever.

The release clause in the Brazilian’s Barcelona contract is set at €222m (£196m) and the French club appear to be prepared to trigger it.

According to Sky Sports, ‘with wages, agent fees and other extras to be taken into account, the total deal for Neymar could end up costing PSG in the region of £450m.’

Barcelona are still expected to have crisis talks with Neymar’s father, who has been in talks with PSG on his son’s behalf.

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have also been trying to talk the 25-year-old into staying at the Nou Camp but it doesn’t look like its going to be enough to make him change his mind.

Mundo Deportivo claim that Neymar has also demanded the club sign his fellow countryman Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool if they want him to stay.

Meanwhile, Barca aren’t keeping all their eggs in one basket, and are reportedly looking at signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala. As they say, nobody is irreplaceable, although in this case it would be with a slightly inferior model.
